SVRC’s 2025 Calendar of Professional Learning again looks a bit different from past years. In response to feedback that teachers are finding it increasingly difficult to set aside a day for PL, we have made our usual Term 1 PL opportunities available online and on demand. This means that they are available all year and one can register and view recorded sessions in your own time. These will be available throughout 2025 on the following topics:

  • Inclusion of students who are blind

  • Inclusion of students who have low vision

  • Inclusion of students who have vision impairments and additional disabilities

  • Preparing your school for a student who reads braille

  • Art4VIKids – Inclusion of students who are blind or have low vision in art

In Term 1 & 3, we will have our ‘hands-on’ PL days at SVRC in Donvale:

The Maths, PE and Music days were recorded in 2024, and are available as ‘on demand’ PL sessions until they are re-recorded in 2025.

In Term 4, we will again have our Access Technology Expo which will be onsite with some online workshops and demonstrations.
