Braille
Stickers
I recently had a query from a school about how to make or buy braille
stickers.
The student is just learning braille and it was thought that some reward
stickers
with braille on them would be fun. We asked around and here are some
of the ideas people came up with:
Ideas for Braille Stickers
-
scratch and sniff , (an old favourite ), with braille words using a slate
and stylus eg. great, super, good work, #1 etc.
-
Feel 'n Peel Stickers. These multi-use tactile/visual stickers are useful
for both students and adults. The bright, translucent colored stickers
are made of durable plastic. Examples of use: - Point Symbols: graphs,
game boards, microwave buttons - Reward Statements: grading papers, rewarding
behaviour. Alphabet: labeling folders, identifying belongings, diagrams.

Braille Heart
Here’s a good idea from Lisa Salinger and Alistair Extraordinaire (the
guide dog)
Hello all.
Maybe this is common knowledge, but there is a heart that can be made
from braille letters and contractions. It is somewhat larger
than the
average sticker but might work. Here's the pattern. No
spaces are used
unless you see the word "space."
Row 1: s e i wh
Row 2: gh space space ar
Row 3: space e i
